Tumours are especially common in older cats. A tumour can be benign, which means it does not spread to other parts of the body; or malignant, which means it is cancerous and spreading. Not all growths or lumps in the body automatically mean cancer, and not all cancers have a bad life expectancy.
Diagnostics and treatment
Our clinic has extensive experience in the diverse diagnostics and treatment options for tumour patients. Some tumours can be treated surgically, while others require medical management.
We can perform standard cancer staging at our clinic, which include X-rays and ultrasounds, and fine-needle aspirates of nearby lymph nodes if necessary. We will help you choose the best treatment path for your cat, taking into account their prognosis, overall wellbeing and quality of life.
